Jinja City · Uganda · Women-owned
Jinja is where the Nile leaves Lake Victoria and turns north for the Mediterranean. Majji is a women-owned agency on Iganga Road, ten minutes from the spot — and we build trips that start at the source and go wherever your days allow.

Who you're booking with
Explorers spent most of the nineteenth century arguing about where the Nile began. The answer is a stretch of water you can stand beside in twenty minutes from our office — and almost nobody who comes to Uganda makes time for it.
That is the trip we think Jinja should be selling. Not just the rapids downstream, but the point itself: where the lake narrows, the current picks up, and the longest river in Africa turns north through eleven countries. We are small, women-owned and based on Iganga Road, so there are no shelf packages — you tell us the days you have and who is coming, and you get a plan built around them. From an hour at the source to a two-week run taking in Sipi, the parks and the gorillas. We meet you at the airport, and we answer at any hour, because rivers and flights do not keep office time.

What we run
It all begins at the same river.
Everything below starts in Jinja, within sight of where the Nile does. The short ones fit an afternoon; strung together they make a proper Uganda circuit. Prices depend on group size and season, so every trip is quoted rather than listed.

We pick you up
From Entebbe, from Kampala or from your hotel in Jinja. The trip starts when we collect you, not when you find us.
First time in Jinja? Give us the source on your first morning, before the adrenaline. It costs almost nothing, it takes two hours, and everything you do on the river afterwards means more once you have stood at the place it starts.
Called it one of the best experiences they had had in Jinja, and singled out Eva as trustworthy, polite and professional to deal with throughout.
Described an unforgettable day on the Nile — rafting, swimming, cliff jumps and boat rides — and rated the whole experience with the company highly.
Said they thoroughly enjoyed exploring Jinja and the wider country with the team, and recommended them to anyone visiting Uganda.
